Myth #5 shintô Needs To Get Back To A More "Pure" Version
Every society has their version of a "golden age", when things were so much better that they are now.
Of course, they had "all" the answers; it was easier when there were far fewer questions. But that doesn't mean that those answers, much less those questions, were correct.
The world changes
society changes
you can't step on the same stream twice.
There's no longer a back to go to. We need a shintô that can deal with the world as it is today. Living in the present, was always one of the strengths of shintô.
