If You're Not At The Table, You're On The Menu
A rather dark and ominous phrase, but lately more often true than not.
As society becomes more polarized between the Very Rich and the rest of us, more maginalized communities are getting pushed away from the table, and "starved" of basic services.
They're being assigned a second class status as citizens.
Women, people of color, the disabled, the gender non-conforming, and the non-neurotypical are losing their voice in how they want to be governed. They're actively being denied the right to vote thru so called "Voter Fraud" laws and gerrymandering.
Effectively, marginalized communities are "on the menu", as the Rich continue their push to move more wealth from the "lower" classes into their own pockets.
Worse these marginalied communities are being discriminated against by MAGA Republican led legislation that makes their lives more difficult, if not impossible.
Mind you these people are still paying taxes, so they're paying for services NOT rendered.
This is NOT okay! This is slavery in all but name!
